One of my Taiwanese friends came to Tokyo to visit me. I asked him what he wanted and he said “Tempura!”.

Okay……I don’t think I can take him a super fancy tempura restaurant which costs like 30000 yen per person but

I should take him somewhere nice……spontaneously I remembered “Imoya” in Jimbouchou.

Yeah, you can see how Tempura is made and the atmosphere is very special….plus

it’s extremely cheap! I mean reasonable!

When we got to the place, there were already around 10 people in line.

After 30 minutes of waiting, we went inside.

The menu is just 2 kinds; Assorted Tempura meal and Shrimp Tempura meal.

You can add other stuff if you want like seasonal fish and vegetables.

Assorted one is 650 yen, Shrimp one is 850 yen.

I can’t think of anywhere that you can have tempura with this low price in Tokyo.

The owner chef keeps cooking very quietly and customers keep eating in silence as well so you shouldn’t talk that loud

but it’s worth it to have this tempura meal.

My friend was totally satisfied with everything of this place. If you are looking for a reasonable and good tempura place,

I’d recommend Imoya.
