Fudenosato Kobo Brush Museum
Fudenosato Kobo Brush Museum is a symbolic museum of Kumanocho and the best brush producer in Japan. Kumanofude brushes account for 80% of the market share nationwide. At the museum, we can enjoy brush art exhibitions and at the gift shop, customers can try out various brushes to find their favorite one, along with other hand written items.
A must-eat dish in Kumanocho town
Hassun is a local food in Kumanocho, which is stewed fish with tofu and vegetable. The name Hassun means a size of bowl (about 24cm in diameter) which was used for the dish. The dish is often made at festivals and ceremonial occasions. These days, local middle school students strive to make the dish together with the locals to keep the tradition.

Kumanofude brushes have been designated as a traditional craftwork of Japan in 1975. With a unique technology, the brushes are perfect for calligraphy, paintings and make up. Make-up brushes are especially high in quality and very popular. The panicle base is produced in the city as well.
