The largest producer of watermelons in Japan is Kumamoto which you may already know.

The second is Chiba, the 3rd is Yamagata, the fourth Niigata and the fifth is Tottori.

However there is something not known but very good watermelon in Kyoto.

It’s called “Kodama (small) watermelon” from Kyotango.

That was my first time to try and I’ve started being obsessed with it.

 

To tell you the truth, it’s much smaller than others and not that famous so I didn’t expect but

it’s seriously sweet and good.
